Re: other sites for a new stadium?

Built it in Vic Square, people might actually go there.

Nah seriously, I would just like to see it close to the city. Anywhere would do. SANTOS stadium makes sense to me though.

It makes my mouth water thinking about a new stadium

Re: Lack of Major planning in Adelaide...

The only thing to look forward to is a monolith hospital on North Terrace... the Cultural Hub of SA??? I totally agree with Jimmy. What about the Government comes out and says, we want to have all this infrastructure built by 2022 for Adelaide to host the Commonwealth games. Get ready to revolutioni...

Re: other sites for a new stadium?

I wish they built a new stadium...but its not gonna happen with the SANFL running the two AFL clubs.

The army barracks get my vote...if the Marj isnt built then i'd say that site by about 100 country miles though.

Re: Glenelg Tram Line Upgrade

Its terrible, people want this city to move forward but have a whinge about getting in a tiny traffic jam (which to be honest is tiny compared to any other major city in the world). The trams are one of the best things Adelaide has received in years. It brings a little more life and hope for somethi...

Re: #Redevelopment - Port Adelaide Waterfront $1.2billion

I think its great. The redevelopment of Port Adelaide is yet another great step for Adelaide. Hopefully in the future we can proudly say the places to be in SA are Adelaide, Glenelg and Port Adelaide. At the moment the Port is very depressing.

[COM] Re: #U/C - Rundle Convergence

theres the crows tavern at aami stadiam, i think thats like a hotel (pub) could be wrong That's not themed though. Its just called the crows tavern because its at AAMI and therefore owned by the SANFL. Yeah thats it. The SANFL keeps the profits from the tavern, but includes them in the AFC revenue ...

Re: Railyards Site Redevelopment

Widen the Torrens, Build a stadium, build an amphitheatre (the meeting place for all big events when televised...not a TV screen in Rundle) and a new Entertainment Centre, which houses the 36er's. Stadium would be 60-70K. It would be interesting to see how a stadium next to the CBD would affect atte...

Re: Ideas for a greater public transport system

My Vision is for Adelaide to have a great Tram system. All travel within the city being free (like in Perth). This would encourage people to explore Adelaide, all of it, not just Rundle and North Terrace. One day even a monorail, for tourists and transport during rushour. Connect it to Adelaide Oval...

Re: Glenelg Tram Line Upgrade

Who said they had to go down Rundle Mall, they could go down North Terrace, then turn at Pultney then down Rundle Street. Drop people off one end of the mall, pick them up at the other.

Just Ideas

[COM] Re: #U/C - Rundle Convergence

Plus the hungry jacks on the corner. Hungry Jacks is my saviour at the end of a big night. If it closes I will be devasted. Maybe I was wrong on the clothing, up market clothing may suit the street. The shops you named definately should go though. BTW when does construction begin on this? Just anot...

Re: Glenelg Tram Line Upgrade

Can't wait. Trams are great, another step for Adelaide.

Just an idea, Ive always thought a Tram line down Rundle street would be sweet, turn Rundle street into a one way street for cars also? Good idea or bad idea?

Anymore recent photos of the wheel? I think its another great step for Glenelg. A ticket on this ferris wheel is going to cost an arm and a leg though, haha.

[COM] Re: #U/C - Rundle Convergence

My only issue with making this a "tourist attraction" is that it is in an awful location in terms of traffic etc. I think the next step towards creating a better pedestrian friendly Adelaide would be some sort of closing off rundle st and extending the mall to incorporate Rundle St...or s...
