They 100% will block Parliament House. They’ve shown they care for little but max profits. This. It will be an unremarkable development done on the cheap for maximum return with very little regard for surrounds - the Walker way. I mean, it'll be remarkable. It may be a new tallest. And remarkably, ...

This has to be it. The pinnacle of poor land use proposals in all of Adelaide city in the last decade. This even tops the data centre on Pirie/Frome :applause: I will admit that it is marginally better than letting the land continue to sit there unactivated. But incurring the opportunity cost of tu...

Btw any developer dressing up their renders like it's some Bosco Verticale really needs to be held to that for life. What ever happened to that student block nearby? Last I saw it looked like a cafe wall with some Addams family creeping dead vines in the middle.

I love it. Would consider buying into it, but... A big project like this, built in stages, built in Adelaide... have a look at a similarly ambitious (although different use) development in City Central. From the original renders (I remember being the one uploading them to these forums) to completion...

What is actually happening to No 1 KWS? I really hated the previous cladding and those hideous orange awning things. Should have left it original in my eyes - the marble cladding was gorgeous. It's being replaced due to the combustible cladding problem. See: https://www.sensational-adelaide.com/for...

Imagine if someone walks in and says let's dig up the cheltenham cemetary for a housing development.

Yeah, imagine if we had a large public square in the centre of Adelaide! Maybe you could even add some more. Can you imagine if we had, like, 5 squares spread throughout the CBD? Maybe another one in North Adelaide for good measure? But, alas... you fail to see the difference between a public plaza...

The building, which will use 100 per cent renewable energy, will be made out of locally sourced and low carbon emission materials. Anyone can claim their building is 70% powered by renewable energy. By plugging it into the grid. By the time this thing is built, the mains supply will be 100% renewab...

Today I saw that the Sands and McDougall name has been added to the awning in the relevant area: Screenshot_20230626-202611_Video Player.jpg It was also confirmed that we will use hot-desking in the new building, answering the question of how seven offices will fit into one (even if it's the larges...

Based on my reading of amendments to DA, Ithink this still might be 94m. I've never tracked down diagrams for the final approved design.

I dont think it does at all. I think the contrast allows the original facade to stand out and distance itself from the new. That's what gets my goat really. Looks stuck on. I mean, at least the facade was retained. It had to be. But yeah.... wish there was a better way of incorporating it. The rest...

Call me a cynic, but why bother? The design is so-so, however at the end of the day this doesn't provide an outstanding centre... Better facilities than what's there, sure, but for starters it's nowhere near O'Connell Street which should have been the primary objective. IF not on the reasoning that...

Surely businesses like banks and telcos have embraced working from home and automation a lot more than government. CBA just capped HO at 50%. Takes balls for a company to do that but it's necessary. The balance went far in the wrong direction and it has made managing teams a nightmare where the emp...
