Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide City Council
If they are going to be so dramatically reducing the types of facilities offered to the public then I think the council should take it to open tender. If the Crows have the best offer then so be it, but perhaps some other organisation or business could offer more public services.

Surely a freight toll needs to be considered? Freight movement is the biggest economic beneficiary for this non-stop corridor - plus they cannot sneak past the toll onto secondary routes due to size (maybe the smaller type trucks can before anyone points this out - but the toll scales can address t...

As I have said before, the moment the Libs started talking about tunnels etc was just a delay tactic not to build anything. Another 10yrs is a horrible thought, but gives a clear understanding why someone has allowed a brand new petrol station built on the eastern side of south roads at Eddy Town. ...

Draft masterplan for Rymill Park/Murlawirrapurka approved by council this week. Will go through consultation this and next month, although no funding (aside the state's $1 million for the Quentin inclusive playground) has be secured and unlikely to receive first tranche until 2020/21 budget. c1260b...

Also while I'm sure the design will change a bit, if you count floors on the render the 35 levels count is only including floors the tower has above the market arcade itself. So it's showing something around the height of a 40 floor building.

We should cut down trees when they are getting in the way of better options.
So plant better stuff, then when it reaches the point gums are limiting its growth remove the gums.
Until then perfect is the enemy of good.

I'm neither here nor there on the tower elements. It's a nice design, but it would suit the location better if the Hilton site were also being redeveloped. Why the Hilton haven't sought to be involved stumps me -- they've got an opportunity to renew and retain their prime location. There's nothing ...

Given the time the development will take it's likely that by the time it happens there will be 6-7 in that range.

From the FAQ: What will be the height of the proposed redevelopment? The current concept design will be subject to design development during 2020. Currently the redevelopment provides a main tower to Grote Street for hotel and residential use with an anticipated height of 35 storeys (including podiu...

Re: News & Discussion: Electricity Infrastructure
Great news, hopefully we can start to see this reflected at the consumer level in the near future. On a national level SA having low power prices would be a great force to pressure the Federal Government on the inevitable move towards renewables.
