Hopefully the drag strip and everything else will be done by then & they could combine it with the Le Mans event. It could become a great racing weekend ideal for summer night events.

Had an opportunity to drive the Bend International circuit, and must say they've done a fantastic job. The corners are challenging, and geometry changes make for some really interesting racing. Race officials and staff were great.

Props to the whole Bend team. Great asset for SA.

State laws could go around The Bend

The Marshall Government is considering suspending a range of state laws for the operation of The Bend motorsport park at Tailem Bend, owned by the state’s biggest private company, Peregrine Corporation.

I can’t believe “neighbours” complain about the noise! It’s 100km from suburbia - how far out do they have to go? Plus it’s only 1 “big” event (20k-40k people!) a year and they complain, I have heard it all.

Well they're going to be building a drag strip, which would raise the noise levels somewhat.
