Exactly. Its ugly. I am all for keeping good heritage things. But its ugly and it was a GAOL.

Ferchristsakes. You drive past it and its an ugly fence with about 100 copper cars in there. Knock it down, attach a tram link and make it a massive underground car park so we can save the city for buildings. Also it would be brilliant for the soccer down the road. Park your car and get shuttled down the road.

I think you're confusing the Old Gaol with the Police Barracks on Port Road. It's on a dead-end street, you can't drive "past" it.

The Gaol is the semi-circular arrangement of buildings over the tracks from the weir. The barracks are the group of buildings on the corner of Port and Gaol roads.

Yes, the Police barracks then.

They are hack ugly. I think if the right design was incorporated allowing maximum carparks, good visiually from the outside and a tram link (even a rail link?) it would be fantastic. Could also encourage people to walk to work.

What I would do is perhaps open up the Governs house, knock down all the walls, make the House a muesum of SOUTH AUSTRALIAN history. The gardens being dedicated to our states greatest HAZAH!

The Governer will be moved to an awesome Mansion in North Adelaide. Thats another one of my grand ideas.
