I'm dubious it will go ahead, given their massive budget problems.

I've been following this story for about 3 years. It's been a fun ride. Federal money is promised for the first part, so at the moment all the arguments are over how rather than if. The latest argument is whether part of it should be in a trench or on a platform to get it grade separated. There's been all the NIMBYs who don't want the construction noise etc etc (Adelaide doesn't have the only NIMBYs in the World)

Now that there's Fed money being thrown about, there's so many vocal conflicting and competing proposals at the moment, I've lost which one has the Fed funding now... >.<'
