Hobart 2020 Olympics Bid

#1 Post by iTouch » Sat Jun 26, 2010 10:50 pm

Yep the reports are true. Tasmanians are now taking what was meant to be a joke seriously. This is so crazy that I actually want this to happen  Don't believe me? http://www.hobart2020.org <--- check that out

As usual it's been met with strong opposition. Not from the NIMBY's but from... Brisbane!!! Brisbane believes that it deserves this handy-down because in their retardedly thick heads, the way Australia works is: Sydney First, Then Melbourne, The Brisbane!! and the rest follow.

In Skyscraper city, the city-fanatics of Brisbane are beating this bid up like an Elizabethan wife due to jealousy. Check out skyscrapercity and stand up for Hobart!! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!! :P

If I'm going to stand up for a city which has not chance of getting it, it's only going to be Adelaide.

Aw come on.I know that it's obvious that Adelaide could get it far more easier then Hobart. But Hobart is far more of a challenge :) not to mention it undermine's the radical patriotic Brisbanites... you've always wanted to do that haven't you?

I'm pretty sure they cancelled their Olympic bid a while ago, instead focussing on a bid for the Youth Olympics.
