Adelaide Duathlon ITU World Championships, Oct 14-18 2015.
A Duathlon is a run followed by a bike followed by a final run.
The ITU Duathlon World Championships will be in Adelaide from 14 to 18 October, 2015. This will include elite, age group and paratriathlon duathlons and a community 5km fun run.

This event will be the biggest-ever duathlon in the southern hemisphere.
The race course will have the City of Adelaide as its backdrop, with scenic views over the River Torrens, Adelaide Oval, and the Adelaide Hills. The race finish will be held at Elder Park, accommodating thousands of spectators.
Includes elite events and fun spectator events such as the ACC Parade of Nations on 15 Oct, Run the World Fun Run on Oct 16 and the Closing Ceremony on18 Oct.
Another world event to take advantage of the beautiful, accessible Riverbank precinct and Park Lands surrounds.

I think we should have some pinned threads with different types of events.
Arts events/festivals, ethnic/cultural events/festivals for example.
