FYI : Server Patching this weekend 19/20 July

There will be some patching of the forum this weekend so expect some intermittent outages. It should last no longer than 30 odd minutes but may run into overtime depending on how the migration goes.

Probably won't address that problem. The traffic today was pretty phenomenal.. we've been asked by our dc to goto a virtual private server, but we're not able to do so financially at the moment.

Howie, I'm sure that there are a number of us who'd be willing to help out financially, I seriously doubt that the entire 1300 member board would leave all responsibility to you as an administrator.

You're not alone, Howie. I think I'm going to have to increase my capacity as well on my server. I'm close to full in terms of storage (most of it is photos) and bandwidth is through the roof, so I'll need to up my payments. However, I can't complain, I only pay 10 bucks a month right now. I don't want to know how much this site costs to run.

As skyscraper nerds this website has given so much to us. I think a donation drive is a great idea to give a little back to ensure our progress-loving community continues to thrive.
