Yeh um, it's 2015 Mono...what happened to our new banner?

I'm quite happy with the current banner, knowing that the banner jinx will ensure that 'phpBB' will only ever be a proposal to increase land value and won't actually be built.

Why don't we do a rotating banner SSC style, where we have a pool of skyline and iconic Adelaide buildings / events / streetscape photos that change every 24 hours?

We never found a suitable image, so we went with the redesigned logo only that served us the past two years. The question is, has Howie forgotten to put the logo back in the rebuilt forums after the crash?

Just by pure coincidence I google image searched something and it came up with the old silhouette proposal image, which said that it was from Sensational Adelaide. I was curious to read what had been written in the old thread and Rev had literally bumped this thread yesterday! Hahaha. That's really weird and well timed!

We definitely need to have a banner up that isn't the default "phpBB" one!

I solely blame Mono for some reason. :D

Looks good, plus it would be hard to curse an already built edifice!

Or we could always bring back one of these beauties from the 90s:

*vomit*

I like Shuz's. However the SensationalAdelaide logo is meant to be font Univers, all uppercase. I forget which weights exactly (I think 3 thin & 4 light?) but "adelaide" is in a heavier weight than "sensational". Sadly I've lost all the original artwork as my backup drive failed. :( (Not that this is written in stone)

The attachment sa.png is no longer available

Crap really? It's been like six years since I did the designs for here. My memory may be wrong. Perhaps I used a gratis font because of licensing issues with Univers. I used to have a license for Univers which I passed on with my design business to the guy who bought my client list.

The PDF properties says I used a few variations of "UniversLTStd-*", but the logo may be anything as I would have prepared that outside of inDesign with possibly Illustrator?

Anyway a nice, clean, sanserif typeface with a couple of thin-weight variations would suffice.
