Nearmap - Open for Individuals

#1 Post by Norman » Tue May 06, 2014 12:30 am

I've just received an Email from Nearmap advising that they now have a non-commercial product for sale now for $79/year for a single state. However, it only allows 50mb of usage each month.

Maybe we should organise a pool of funds between those who are interested to enable us all to use a single account?

That's not what single seat means...
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

And 50mb is tiny when dealing with images. :P

Or just login with username 'demo' and password 'demo' to view the general CBD and Mile End/Hindmarsh for free.

Thanks. It would have been useful to know that before.

Looking at their demo, I was surprised to see their mapping stops at February. That's still better than Google, but for a company that's raison d'être is up to date mapping it does seem a bit slack.

As for their offer, I'm unimpressed. If they want to limit data by the month, 1 month subscriptions should be available!

Having a look at the latest map, I notice they've removed the little farm animal pen at the back of the Gaol in favour of yet another car park. What's the deal with that?
