Re: Favourite loonies/oddballs of Adelaide
Who's the old man who stands up on a platform, and hoolah hoops all day? He's got a sign written up, but I've never managed to read it.
I thought he was doing it on stilts when I first saw him .

It says something about his age (74, i think) and a little story about his time in the Korean(?) War. Not sure what else it says.Punishment466 wrote:Who's the old man who stands up on a platform, and hoolah hoops all day? He's got a sign written up, but I've never managed to read it.

Haha this thread is gold!
How about the youngish asian guy who usually walks down Rundle Mall early in the morning with a rose in his hand and sings at the top of his voice. His songs echo halfway down the mall . I wonder if he does karaoke, hmmmm
Oh, and there's also that old guy who sings in the mall, wears oversized novelty sunglasses, has a giant flower pinned to his jacket, and a toy puppy dog next to him on the ground. Hehe, I enjoy his singing

By the way has anyone been stopped by a fairly short, stocky man, normal looking but dorky, that will waive at you and say hello. He will then shake your hand for 5 mins after which he will ask for money.
By the way the wonky legged guy with the bag is quite nice and friendly. I guess he has cerebal palsy (spelling guess) which seems to scare a few people. And also, I dont know where all the natives have gone

Not too long ago, I saw him In rundle mall just run up to the cibo mini cafe booth thingy.... and agressively opend a jar of cookies and tried to run off with some lol. The 2 scared girls in there didnt no what to do.... they were just shouting at him 2 get away and after a while he got scared to and ran off lol.jk1237 wrote: ...By the way the wonky legged guy with the bag is quite nice and friendly. After no luck there, he went a few stores down to the smokemart and tried to steal cars/wrapping paper on the stand outside the shop.

Are u talking about the guy who wears different random hats? Such as the sailor kind of one, or the elf style hat? He also has longish hair, tall, has about 4 magazines on a long folder thingy, and looks like an amish person.Mants wrote:there is also a friendly looking man who sells the big issue outside the myer centre almost everyday.

Has anyone seen that short dude who always wears black and in winter a long trench coat?
He can often be seen walking around town between 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
Oh thats me!
Has anyone ever spoken to the guy on the bike that goes *beep beep* ?
