Documentaries on Skyscraper Building

#1 Post by Howie » Sun Aug 21, 2005 10:29 am

Hiya Guys, just letting you guys know .. there are a few excellent documentaries by Modern Marvels and Imagine on skyscrapers and history of.

* Modern Marvens - How To Build a Skyscraper v1-6
* Imagine - A Short History of Tall Buildings v1-3

Imagine series is excellent.... it's a british documentary, which goes from ancient scrapers (eerily their silloutte cast at night makes it looks like the world trade), through to historic american scrapers, through to british intepretation, and the final series is about the future and asian scrapers.

Fascinating stuff and gripping stuff for a SS enthuasiast!

Just watch Discovery and Nat Geo channels. They got heaps of building and urban related docos. There's a program series on Nato Geo called Frontlines of Construction.

you 'could' find it at isohunt.com ;)

also thanks for the recommendations ag.. i'll have a search around for them.

i love anything to do with construction and building, and i also found the imagine series really well done without being american-scraper centric which is quite refreshing.
