Even in Lizzy, women have enough class to not be living in old signalling cabinets near Broadmeadows Station.

Instead, they live in the bus shelter on the platform

I don't think there are a few women, it is just that they probably don't know about this forum (or have reasons not to post).

Queen Anne, there's also Joy from JPE Architects.

Oh yes, you're right! So, four women then :) Joy clearly knows what she is talking about, I had wondered if she was an architect.

I hope this discussion might encourage any women who are reading, and not posting, to jump in and have a go. It seems like there is quite a variety of people here, even in our very small female population on the site - for eg, Joy, who is a professional and me, who is nothing more than a homesick expat with a lifelong interest in the fate of Adelaide. Room for everyone :)

Hi all, my name is Mike Ott (MO), I'm 31, married with no kids yet (we're working on it :D ). Settled in Adelaide 18 months ago and love it here.

I am a BDM in Cable TV and broadband industry, working for a British company, spend a lot of time away from home and thinking of changing jobs actually... Crazy about plane spotting, airports, transport and infrastructure in general.

Want to know anything -- just ask

Did you come from overseas? If so, what made you pick Adelaide over the other capitals? ;)

For the last 15 years I lived in places like London, Amsterdam, Moscow and Manila. Got tired of big cities, crowds, traffic, etc. -- wanted something quiet but civilised. Here I had to choose between Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, and I think Adelaide is the ideal place for me: big enough to be a city, but small enough not to be a crazy crowded megapolis.

Hi everybody!

I'm 25 years old. Studying 1st year Urban and Regional Planning at UniSA. Originally wanted to become a commercial pilot. Got side-tracked! Really enjoying what I'm learning now and hope to have a long and happy future in society.

I hope to share my thoughts with you all eventually.

Take care!

I joined today and am living in the UK (I am an Aussie, however) and will be moving to SA (Adelaide most probably) in the near future.

Thank you Queen Anne!

Well, my first year in nearly over. Only 3 more exams and a few assignments left to submit. It's been a great year. Achieved a Distinction average so far. Enjoying everything I'm learning. Looking forward to not having to go to Mawson Lakes for any more subjects from now on.
