Sensational-Adelaide.com

Last time I went on google maps I noticed that most of the images are from
a few years ago. This gave me an idea.

The idea is that we setup a before and after thread on this site. This thread displays a
before and after photo of the major developments in adelaide.

E.g. One of the major devleopments recently in Adelaide is the Conservatory on Hindmarsh
building on Grenfell Street. I could capture an image from a few years ago of the site using google
maps. I could then go into the city and take a photo (from the same location / angle as the image
captured on google maps) and then post both images on this site.

We could then vote on which development in Adelaide has made the biggest
improvement to our city.

I do hope that future Steet View images will be of a higher resolution. As well as a camera car, Google now has a Street View tricycle for use on footpaths, in alleyways & even in theme parks (e.g. WB MovieWorld, Dreamworld, etc!

Street View for Adelaide has just been updated with more recent images, and at a much higher quality.

Our place has been done, and we're outside the CBD. The quality is unbelievably good.

Imagary is dated December 2009.
Even the Gully Gusher & few other memories are still alive on the new imagery!

I made it to Google Street View! It only took about 18 months for them to update the image, but thats me on the left flipping off the Google Street View car!

Looks like they're doing the rounds again. I saw the street view car turning off of Windebanks Road in Aberfoyle Park this afternoon.

I went around the block and tried to find it again but I lost it. My hopes of being in Street View are once again squashed

Lol. I've been snapped twice in the recent round of photos

Let's hope I get captured this time! I'll even take a pic of the car.

New street view images for Adelaide in Google Maps. Not sure how long they've been up, but developments such as 70 Franklin, Rowlands and Rundle Place are now on there. Pretty sure the pictures are from early 2013.
