However, some BPs are also being rebadged as Caltex (e.g. on Goodwood Rd, Westbourne Park and Main North Rd, Hillbank), because more South Australians fuel up at Caltex then at any other petrol station!
Peregrine were required by the ACCC to divest those sites to Caltex, and the Mile End one to Agostino when the BP retail acquisition went through.

Don't quote me, but I think I read somewhere that Mobil was contracted to supply OTR fuel to their former outlets for five years, so I guess that's now expired since the takeover was in 2010. Also, Bacon is correct. Caltex and Peregrine exchanged some outlets when Peregrine took over the BP sites. Agostino are the independents who control the few sites that are BPs with no affiliation to OTR for whoever is wondering.

But how do more people fill up at Caltex than OTR? I understand that outlet numbers do not equal petrol volumes sold, but there's still three times as many OTRs in metro Adelaide than Caltex (or any other competitor for that matter). Maybe if you factor in their alliance with Woolworths and rural outlets, but that still seems a stretch to me.

I've heard they are building a big krispy kreme corner of daws and south road on the land the government should have acquired to make way for south road upgrade but why would you do that. You would wait until it is built on and too difficult to acquire...

Do I sense another Peregrine/DPTI lawsuit coming on?

Anyone with spare cash like peregrine corp would be mad not to buy up all remaining property along South road now, then hold out for exorbitant compensation for the compulsory buy back within the decade. The state gov continues to be either too stupid, or too lazy to reserve the corridor now at the depressed price. Seriously, even basic forward planning evades them.

They are starting to go overboard with the SA market (and WA aswell) . I went past the Croydon store last week and was extremely quiet, so it looks like the hype is dying off.

So far
Croydon
Gouger St
James Place
Westfield Marion
Bolivar
Salisbury CBD
There isn't another one opening in Salisbury CBD. Peregrine were erroneously calling the Bolivar one 'Salisbury City'. A few people called them out on it, and now the store is being called 'Port Wakefield Road'.

That link takes you to a pic of the OTR Mobil on Bridge Rd (which, like all Mobil sites were rebranded as generic OTR service stations). Some of these are now being re-branded as BP. The one on the corner of Kings Rd and Salisbury Highway has been rebranded as BP this week.

This means there's now 4 BP's on Salisbury Highway between Park Tce and Pt Wakefield Rd (2 OTR's and 2 AM/PM's)

Sheidow park has also been rebranded as a BP. Thought it was strange that they'd switched supplier but it makes sense if their contract is finished.
Looking forward to a free-flowing Adelaide!

The liberty on main north road across from the new masters at parafield is now an OTR. It's a shame though because that liberty was always pretty cheap.

I do have a question though, who does liberty buy their fuels from?

Has the car wash (a 1980s Ryko Ultra Clean) been replaced yet?
The one in Evanston may also be rebranded soon.

I've noticed that some of the Mobil sites haven't been redeveloped some 5 years after Peregrine bought them e.g. Holden Hill and Hillcrest. Could it be due to their close proximity to existing OTRs that Peregrine are just sitting on them waiting for the right time to get rid of these sites?

Here's a prediction:

OTR on North East Rd, Greenacres will be rebadged into BP and the one in Hillcrest will be rebadged into Shell/Coles Express to replace the one on Cnr North East Rd/Sudholz Rd, Windsor Gardens which will then be demolished and replaced with another Krispy Kreme, which will get a lot of pressure resulting in peak-hour traffic being brought to a snail's pace and substantial impact to a number of small family owned franchises/businesses.
