Horrid waste of money, disaster of urban planning. I'll just encourage more car dependence, more urban sprawl, the environmental and social-economic effects are well documented.

We can only dream, but if there was a goverment serious enough about establishing some freeway network of sorts, I guess this is about as much as Adelaide could get away with, mainly due to NIMBYS, costs, and existing infrastructure. (Remember freeways need room to build upon)
The northern section of South Road from the golf course near Islington to the PREXY could be freeway standard. Other minor 'expressways', could include The Golden Way, City West Connector, Tapleys Hill Road adjacent to the airport, Tonsley rail corridor, and the old Dry Creek rail corridor.

Who needs a degree in Transport Engineering or Town Planning when you can draw lines on a map in MS Paint?
