Another core rise. The core is now same height as the carpark (about level 7 i think). I'm interested to see how they build on top of the carpark. This one is flying up and the core could almost be topped out by end of the year increasing a floor per week.

That's the beauty of building with a steel frame.

Cheers

I'm surprised this development isn't going to be tenanted by the state emergency centre (SES, CFS etc). They're currently based on Waymouth Street and have been looking for a new purpose built HQ with backup generators, private parking for their vehicles but still central. This sit would have been ideal considering it's directly opposite the MFS HQ and has it's own attached carpark.

And the carpark was engineered and built with the intention of adding an office above it originally.

I wasn't questioning the ability to do it just literally saying i'm interested to see how they do it. I can see the carpark from my office so will have a great spot to watch it grow.

I saw that this morning too. Kyren sure are impressive with their speed. I'm hoping the glazing is of decent quality, I'm not a fan of most of their projects looks wise.

I think as construction is also their business [ie builder not just developer] makes them more efficient. I also take my hat off that they also are going ahead with what appears no tenant pre-commitment [for the offices].

Said this before... Samaras has the biggest balls amongst the Greek property owners/developers/builders. Good on him. Let's hope his other 90+ metre development in Franklin Street gets off the ground too.

Cheers

Yes the new core is as tall as the existing car park as mentioned by Ben above. click on picture for bigger. the climbing frame is that bit around the outside of the tower at the top of the picture just above the lift core.
