Honestly. You contribute nothing to this forum other than throw-away comments like this.
He's right through. It's an absolute eyesore and a disgrace it was even approved in the first place.
I'm not denying that, but why? Give us a reason (or 5). He's kinda like the two old dudes from the bleachers at the end of The Muppet Show.
In the winter especially, the poorly treated concrete looks unfinished and tired.
It’s poor design reflects the lack of care, money and thought that has gone into this and so many other Adelaide projects of late.

The podium on Renaissance Arcade podium isn’t flash,
You’re not wrong but it’s an unfinished project with an iconic design above it.

I could keep going but this 32 year, old grumpy muppet doesn’t have the energy.

I wish we can be more vocal about the crap that gets built in our city? Unlike other cities, it will really stick around for a long while to come. Dwell is absolute bottom in terms of design merit and it is so sad to see it happen here.
I hope this latest batch of development in the last five years has shown us that not everything proposed is a win for the city.

Even some of Pripyat's architecture today looks better than Dwell.

Let's get back on topic please, none of this has anything to do with the crane counter thread.

Is it school holidays or something? This isn't a playground, don't pick on fellow forumers - especially over nothing. Ignore and move along.

Back to topic, what's the next crane due to go up? I guess Wakefield Street given the base is laid, but I wonder how far off the student tower on North Tce is? Seems odd to clear the site and let it sit.

Yes already been a core rise to level 2 or 3. i'd think this weekend it will go up.

North terrace was waiting on approval for new design which is expected tomorrow. I'd think it will start next month. There is also the student accom on waymouth starting and Adelaide Oval hotel. I would think unless something changes next year could be one of the quieter ones in the past decade crane wise.

Thanks for that, forgot about Waymouth Street. There's also the Twin Street student tower which you'd imagine they'd want to get underway soon.

But that's about it. Of the apartment proposals, none seem to very far advanced with sales and only Penny Place is marketing heavily. The wildcards would be hotels - the Westin, Park Hotel or QT. Otherwise a much quieter time for city construction.

I honestly don't expect anything to happen there (crane wise) until 2021 or later, given the council still has to announce preferred partner, go to tender, and sell whatever tenancies or residences it will contain.

Been a little while since the last update.

We were so close to exceeding 20 but didn't quite make it and looks unlikely in the near future. Wakefield street up in the next week. Waymouth street in a month or so. Nothing much else expected.

Should the proposed Ramada Hotel in Elizabeth be listed in the October/November list too? Is that big/complex to need a tower crane?
