Workers were on site again today around lunch time removing windows and replacing them with the newer type class already seen on other re-newed levels. Is it just me or this project progressing at a snails pace??

Must be union disagreements holding them up! The Ansett bldg (next to the AMP on Nth Tce took two years and 51 strikes to complete. In the news all the time Ie the wong union building the wrong wall etc etc etc. Like this one, one wondered if ever it would be completed!

they have to do it as tenants move out of their respective floors.

I thought all uncompleted floors still have occupants still in it?

Most of the floors are occupied, I worked in the building until a few months ago.

As did I until Feburary last year.

so then I might be close to the money in terms of waiting for tenants to leave or renew leases prior to the refurb?

As far as I know, Level 12 has been empty ever since I moved out of there.

The ongoing saga of this half baked eyesore of a building, made even worse by its prominent location, really, really annoys me!
Guess that's obvious.

Another floor is being done now. Only two to go. Now that most of the floors have been refurbed, this building is starting to look more impressive. All the new glass gets some decent reflections at times too.

The removal of the dark glass has really lightened the appearance of this building too. Hopefully it gets a silver paint/cladding job as well once all floors are complete as shown on the render.

Work is underway on the second to last floor now. Will this upgrade never be finished, it's dragged on for years. Surely this must rate as the longest refurbishment project in Adelaide's history?

Or can anyone think of even more drawn out upgrades???

Work appears to have begun on the final floor.

Anyone else think the whole building looked better before?

Better than before, but would sooner have seen it demolished.
