Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Someone said they were moving into the other old Telstra shop in Citi Centre arcade?
Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Is it still looking like Zara will move into this arcade? Or was that just speculation?
Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
Which arcade? There are no public plans for a Zara in the CBD nor is there any possible space at this point in time.
Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
The one on the end of Rundle Mall where the Telstra shop was.
Really though how pathetic is it that our main mall and a mall that is quite famous nationally has fallen so far behind in the retail shopping experience. Bring in Zara , Uniclo and a few other international brands for Christ sake. They don’t have to be high end. There are many that would work well for Adelaide climate TBH.

That's where foodland is going isn't it?The one on the end of Rundle Mall where the Telstra shop was.
Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
I don't fully understand how the shape of it will work when all is said and done but from what I can tell the shopfronts with mall frontage (Telstra -> Suncorp, Maccas, Westpac, Nike) are staying and everything else (the Pulteney fronting stores, the stores in the arcade, the food court) is being gutted out.
Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
As an aside I'd be interested to see what they do as far as entrances. As it stands now the space Foodland is going in has three entrances (Pulteney, Rundle and Hindmarsh) and supermarkets really don't like that as a whole thing - see the side door to the Coles in the Market leading to the Arcade that's now permanently locked or, further afield, the newly locked door to the Arndale Coles. Maybe a Rundle Place Coles style thing where there's two sections of checkouts, one near Pulteney and one along the Western wall with a path that opens onto a corridor that leads from the Mall to Hindmarsh Square?

Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
I suspect that either the Hindmarsh or Rundle Mall entrances will go in favour of an additional tenancy... Rundle Mall would make more sense from a leasing point of view but also Foodland would likely want access to the mall...jorcoga wrote: ↑Sun Apr 22, 2018 12:56 amAs an aside I'd be interested to see what they do as far as entrances. Citi Centre arcade will be closing completely on Saturday to allow for the next stage of the redevelopment. There is a render on the Mall doors but doesn't show a great deal.
Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail
New Aussie Disposals store on Rundle Street, following their relocation. There seems to be a lot of outdoor type stores and bike shops on this street already, so didn’t seem too out of place in that company.

As mentioned recently, small renders are on the window of the Citi Centre entrance for it's upgrade, captured this earlier, looks good. If you look hard enough you can see faintly in the picture the Romeo's Foodland entrance in centre, seems that the main entrance will be off the Mall rather than Pulteney Street.

It's a pretty exclusive brand. Massive coup for Adelaide.Nathan wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 9:03 pmI personally cannot wait to shop at Signage Location.Patrick_27 wrote:As mentioned recently, small renders are on the window of the Citi Centre entrance for it's upgrade, captured this earlier, looks good.
