Is that confirmed or still just a rumour? I heard that along with Tiffany's from one of the Hugo Boss employees.

I am not sure if Adelaide could sustain 2 Bang & Olufsen stores. I mean, how many people are out there that can afford to buy a $20 000 cd player!? 8)

It will actually be Adelaide's third as there is one In David Jones in Rundle Mall. I hope this is incorrect. Tiffany's would be a great addition to Adelaide.

Isn't the one in David Jones actually inside the David Jones department store? As such, it isn't an independent store, but rather more like one of the brand name cosmetic counters.

Does it matter? lol But yes it is a store within a store. They pay David Jones rent to keep the space.

It'll be the 4th if you count DJ's.

There's one round the corner from my place on King William Road, too.

Hi-Fi Acoustics is between the two, that's probably what you're thinking of.

Yeah, I was talking Gouger Street, hadn't noticed that one had closed.

Have we heard any more about what's going in at Regent Arcade?

I doubt that Prada will be coming to Rundle Mall.
I think the render is illustrative purposes only. I really hope that Prada and Gucci do not open here.
They'd be better off opening on or just off Rundle St to further enhance its boutique fashion environment.

New Retail in the CBD

#88 Post by Ben » Wed Sep 30, 2009 2:24 pm

Hi I thought i'd start a thread purely on the new stores opening in Adelaide.

Anyone that knows anything about fashion would agree this has been one of Adelaide's biggest years on record for big brands opening new stores despite the GFC.

So in recent months we have had.

Adidas (Reent Arcade
G Star Raw (Myer Centre)
Calibre (Rundle Street & David Jones)
Sass & Bide (Rundle Street)
SABA (Rundle Street)
American Apparel (Rundle Street)

In the next few months we are getting

Lisa Ho (Rundle Street) - November
Zimmerman (Rundle Street) - November
Ed Hardy (Myer Centre) - November
Smiggle (Rundle Mall)
Diesel (location TBC)
Politix (location TBC)
General Pants Co (Marion and City location TBC) - November
Alannah Hill (Rundle Street) - November

oooh I didnt know that Diesel and Politix will be opening up a shop. I wish we could get a Industry shop. I dont like how Myer is not allowed to stock it anymore, only David Jones, and the range at David Jones is pitiful and prob more expensive

Also there is a Saba store on the Norwood Parade too, just noticed it last week

I did not know so many new brands were around town. good news...
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
