I’m thinking best and less wont be far behind unless a tenant is found soon.
Not to mention that Best & Less is owned by the same private equity firm that put Harris Scarfe into administration.

The rest of the corner where the Telstra Shop used to be is now being fit out for a 'Sushi Hub', and looks like it might be double height.
Not double height, unfortunately, they're installing ceilings. I'm not sure of the layouts at other Sushi Hubs, but it doesn't look like it will be much of a dining in kind of a place. It's a shame that they aren't incorporating a mezzanine, that corner spot is perfect for it.

City Holden has started its Relocation Sale after trading in the same spot on Grenfell Street for many generations.

Anyone know if anyone's been lined up for the old Country Road, latterly Ugg Boots store? It's been gutted over recent weeks and looks like the begginings of a fit out are occurring now. It's possible the building owner may just be updating the building speculatively, with offices on upper levels, similar to 138-140 Rundle Mall (which remains untenanted).

Bit more than just a relocation now I'd wager

What does it look like is happening to the new site? Presumably they will still sell Holdens for a few more months, and continue the service and parts department much longer.

by how good is he
I think Holden has made a 10 yr commitment for parts & service of existing cars. Interesting for new cars if any new dealerships are available. I know PAFC have a new major sponsor from a Chinese car co. - MG, could be coming!

It was sold in late 2018 from memory. It’s a big site across four different areas, some of which would be pretty prime spots for apartments you’d think.

Isn't there something already in the pipeline? Some developer must be already planning this.

Cheers

That part sure, but it seems like even GM branded dealerships may not be a thing going forward now, apparently at most Australia will be getting a handful of GM Specialty Vehicles showrooms stocking Chevrolet stuff you can pay to have converted to right hand drive.

Do the City Holden people own any other dealerships? Steinborner Holden in Gawler seems to only be Holden and used cars, but Steinborner Holden Nuriootpa is next door to Steinborner Hyundai and Steinborner Mitsubishi. There's also a Steinborner Ford in Clare, so I imagine one or more other brand will move into the Gawler dealership, while parts and servicing continue.

Another one on Gawler Place bites the dust!
After 88 years of trading (in total), Frank McCabe Jewelers will be shutting up shop at the end of March.
It has been trading on the same spot for about more than 30 years I'd say.

A quick google says the only other dealership they have is on north east rd at Hillcrest, plus two service centres at Mile End and Rose Park
