Quick comparison of this one between the 7th of October and today. Not a hell of a lot has happened in that time really. Second picture's quite crappy, sorry.

Here is a comparison between 13 Oct and 13 Dec 15. I think the view from Grote St shows a better comparison. This works out to 3 floors in 9 weeks which is not rapid but these are rather large floor areas.
The record for Adelaide construction was the 'Old' SGIC building in Waymouth St (now the Allegra hotel) 19 floors constructed, fitted out, and open for use by office workers all in 28 weeks (back around 1970).

My friends family owns the for work company for this building and he works on it daily. He was telling me that it should reach its full height by September 2016. Seems like quite a long time to me when you look at buildings like Vue and the office building on king will by dash architects.
