So glad this bad boy turned out well. Looks sleek, and makes a statement.

Viewed from Morphett Street on Friday. Very imposing IRL.

I second this... it's big and bold, yet elegant with plenty of architectural variety and detail. Can't wait to see West Franklin, Bohem and the one on Waymouth St rise to join the West CBD party!Mpol03 wrote:So glad this bad boy turned out well. Looks sleek, and makes a statement.

I feel what helps to enhance this is the colour scheme. The black painted walls and the black frames on the windows help to give it a subtle finish. The boxy shape of some of the windows isn't emphasised, rather blends in with the overall look. Had this been white or beige it would have been a different story.

Crane coming down tomorrow and moving to a job in NSW. I was unsure if it would go to Kodo. Hoping Kodo will have a tower crane. Will be massive on the skyline.

Very impressive building! It has brought much needed height to relatively flat part of the city. Here's to more!

Shit I was wrong I thought the white bits in the render where just reflections, turns out they are real

I disagree. I think it's probably the most interesting building finished in our CBD since the SAHMRI. I had high hopes for Vue, but for me that turned out to be a disappointment.

I completely agree. This is compelling by the use of it's materials, shapes and colours. For me Vue is the most underwhelming development this city has seen in a long time. The moment it was built it had the same "time stamp" as the Black stump on Grenfell street.Jaymz wrote:Dvious wrote:It's no architectural masterpiece but it turned out ok!

It's all subjective but...Pikey wrote:I completely agree. This is compelling by the use of it's materials, shapes and colours. Wat'cha talkin' about, Willis?
I quite like Vue. It's not your boring glass box. And as much as I like them, it's not a modernism school replicant. It has a nice bronze colour to it and some interesting angles with the balconies, which are reminiscent to the balcony angles in 152 Grote Street.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.
