As far as I can see it is some form of glossy plastic (for want of a more technical term). It's not clear glass and looks like it'll be used between floors, with clear glass obviously used for the office windows.bm7500 wrote:When i first saw the glass i thought it looked like some sort of coloured polymer panel.Splashmo wrote:Glad to see that the windows are reflecting the clouds, because several times I've been past and it just looked like plastic or something solid.
The effect when it's finished could be quite dramatic in a good way.
Thanks for the pics.
I might have high hopes for this one, but i think this could become quite an iconic building down this end of town.
The building's still looking quite good, but I don't know how true it's going to be to the render.

The first layers of "Middle" glazing has started to be installed on the southern end of the king william st frontage. It's a slightly lighter shade of blue of what already has been installed. Looks pretty good!

Any one know what the tenancy situation is now with this bldg?

Looking good - up to expectation from renders. Almost has a 'tile' effect. Just needs an offset from massive facade of glass with well positioned naming rights exercised by suitable tenant as a neon. Which brings me to my previous question - what is the latest re tenancy levels of this bldg?

Great pics.
It is a bit of a shame the offices won't have floor to ceiling height glass to look out of, instead just that one strip of glass per floor (a bit 80's in design). Won't looks as good as I thought it would lit up at night with just strips of glass. It is still turning out rather well though.
No white blinds please, I hope they install dark blinds like SA Water, otherwise it will cheapen the look of this building.

It looks to me like the darker glass is well positioned to block out the bulk of the sunlight on every floor. Maybe any blinds required will be well disguised behind the darker glass.UrbanSG wrote:Great pics.

Some more from today - No issues with if this building is reflective or not!

great pics thanks mate, I'm feeling more and more confident about how this one will turn out

Nice pics. This project is turning out to be my favourite project atm. Not only does it look good being all reflective, but it also adds so much to an area which was originally quite dull.

Great pics! Must have been in town the same time I was.
I don't mind the stripy effect the different glazing gives.
