There's machinery on site now, it looks like they're doing excavation. This project is one big mystery.

They've been working for there for a few weeks. It would be a great project if it goes ahead, but I am not confident given
the history of the project.

Plenty of 'suits', 'high vis' and 'diesel' on site this morning. It really looks like site works are fully underway.

Nothing much to see here. The site has been levelled - looks like a car park? Wake me up when there is a tower crane on site. No body on site today. Picture 13/12/2018.

Was curious what this will look like now and noticed this amendment from April last year that we appear to have missed. The prospects are not great:
Variations include - changes to heritage entrance (main entrance), facade cladding changed to painted CFC sheet, painted precast to low & unfinished precast with feature grooves to upper, green wall extent deleted, balcony screening deleted, aluminum fins deleted, glazing extent reduced from 2.7m to 2.1, contextual colour scheme adopted, fire pump and tanks relocated to ground floor, community services/heritage interpretation extent reduced, updated external materials board and details to satisfy conditions 10 and 11 (heritage)

With changes like this I’d rather this wasn’t built, and await a new development to be proposed onto the site. I’ve become very wary of developments of this nature. The renders are very unclear, the building looks questionable at best.
I can see this turning into a pile of dog turd given it’s been around for so long and with so little action.

It would appear the entire look, feel and promise of this development has changed from its original proposal and yet I can find no new renders and DAC have been content to approve the variations rather than force a new application. Doesn't feel like a proper process.
