Presumably this is the look they're going for? But these are "raw" CFC sheets.

It can look, ok. This is on Whitmore Square, and doesn't look too bad in a low rise form. Not sure about 14 levels of it. Unless the CFC are lobby elements only? We'll wait and see.

Personally I think the "raw / unfinished" look on any building is disgusting. That development on Whitmore Square to me has always looked unfinished and almost "third world-ish" in comparison to older and well finished buildings. It just looks cheap and nasty and the less we have of this the better.
Also, I noticed in that amendment that it states "fins deleted" - what were these supposed to look like?

I have to agree. This Whitmore Square development is not a look we should be aiming for. Anywhere.

Was curious what this will look like now and noticed this amendment from April last year that we appear to have missed. The prospects are not great:
Variations include - changes to heritage entrance (main entrance), facade cladding changed to painted CFC sheet, painted precast to low & unfinished precast with feature grooves to upper, green wall extent deleted, balcony screening deleted, aluminum fins deleted, glazing extent reduced from 2.7m to 2.1, contextual colour scheme adopted, fire pump and tanks relocated to ground floor, community services/heritage interpretation extent reduced, updated external materials board and details to satisfy conditions 10 and 11 (heritage)
It reads like the architect yelled "I fkn QUIT"

Or "They turn it into student housing, let the intern do it...."

Apparently this is called “Spence on light” now but I can’t find any new renders or info.
