Never, ever, consider a newspaper a reliable source for skyscraper info.

It appears as though the Sunday mail is quoting the information from the first proposal from 2003, which was 25 stories. I find it hard to believe that the Sunday Mail is unnaware of the new 33 level proposal.

I have just received the 76 page document going out about this developement in the near future. It sounds much bigger then first thought and has now been given a name "Spire". Construction is to start by the end of June and should be completed by the end of September 2007. I am not sure of the exact height as I can't find it in this brochure however it will be Adelaide's second tallest building and a direct quote from the brochure. "It will be a unique residential building developement for the city of Adelaide and will be approximately equal in height to the Santos building, located directly North to the subject property". Meaning around 130m high. Unless approximately is within 30 metres?

This will be officially launched in the next month and prices range from $190,000 to $2.5M.

Nice scoop beamer85. how old's this document? Could it be that it was prior to the approval of the current 98m design?

Great stuff beamer!

I'm not sure whether this pre-dates the supposed decision to knock a few levels and the blades off, but great find nonetheless.

I like the prediction made by the brochure: "Adelaide will have a population of 2 million by 2045". This makes for better reading than those negative ABS figures!

I don't know if anyone else got this feeling, but I found the brochure to be too positive. It doesn't inspire confidence in me, and to be honest as an investor I wouldn't buy in this building, the developers appear somewhat 'dodgy'.

The reality of Adelaide having 2million people by 2045 would be like seeing flys eating spiders

Get's crystal ball out. I think we'll see 2 million people WAY before then.

As do I. I was on the ABS website before and the SA population is at 1.6 mil people. My personal opinion is over the next few decades many people will move to the cities as farming becomes almost unprofitable for the small farmers. Also with the new uni's SA is getting we will have a lot more international students who will tell frineds/family how great Adelaide is and hopefully becomes permanant residents as they will be skilled migrants aswell.
