I received a flyer in the mail regarding this one. They're pushing it as 'Fine Retirement Living', with the bulk of it being serviced apartments.

They're taking bookings for those interested in viewing detailed plans during May/June. Doesn't have any current sales/pre-commitment sales present though.

Another retirement village. It's not a bad business here in Adelaide as the city is full of old people lol.

DA variations says use is changing away from retirement living to general residential apartments.

The development application does say to "change from" a retirement village to standard apartments. However, it doesn't surprise me that you would misinterpret reality to validate your negative agenda. Please, just piss off. Adelaide doesn't need people like you.

The amended plans are now on the DAC website. A builder - Hindmarsh has been appointed and they are keen to get on with stage 1 which is the amended building. Externally it remains largely the same.

The treatment of the southern heritage building is much better, I hope the rest of the building goes ahead as well.

The most recent amendments to this development were rejected by the DAC. The main reason was that the most recent amnendnents required the demolition of even more heritage aspects of the site, including a 140 year old heritage listed stables.

Every city has heritage stables, we shouldnt be any different in honouring our heritage. Especially if its over 140 years old. We have plenty of areas that can be built on.

Fight me mate, you wouldn't

I have sympathy with people who have owned a decrepit or unusable building for years and then get slapped with a heritage listing, but if you buy a site with heritage elements expecting to be given an exemption to preserving them then that is on you 100%.
