anyone know their situation with the current SA admin buildings?
I think the last I heard they (Labor) removed the State Admin Centre from the package but was still trying to sell the rest (Education Building, Torrens Building, Wakefield House and the vacant lots on that block). But I'm pretty sure the sweetener for the sale was a 12 year government lease over the buildings, so any sale wouldn't necessarily free departments to move to Festival Plaza. But who knows what the Liberals are planning.

The MP offices are ideally located within the area they represent.
Why would you move MP offices to the city?

There was a rumour earlier this year that Santos were going to be the anchor tenant for the office tower. Although, I have heard that there is quite a few substantial sized leases that are about to expire around the next 4 years.

many of the MPs with a portfolio have a city office, as well as an office in their respective regions/areas.

So heard a rumour tonight that a financial institution will be the head lease on this.

Needs at least 3 buildings worth of floor space.

What financial institution would need 3 buildings in Adelaide? My Budget? Surely not...

Frankly, I am sick to death of hearing rumours about potential tennants for this building. If Walker had a tennant signed up then
the building would be under construction by now FFS.

You mean moving from 3 buildings, or anchoring 3 buildings?

Westpac is BankSA and St George...so is that the 3 into 1?
Or do either NAB/ANZ/CBA have 3 buildings to fit into this 1?

Didn't someone once say here that SGIC was overflowed from their new headquarters? Although 'new' would be 12-13 years old by the time this is likely to be finished, so they could be contenders.

Westpac have major buildings with hundreds of staff at each in Lockleys, Bedford Park and Adelaide.

That is before counting buildings under subsidiary branding.
Eg another major building with hundreds of staff for BT at Bedford Park.
