As predicted they were pouring concrete for the southern 1/2 of the ground floor slab this morning but I could not stop for a picture.

Spoke to the foreman on site around this project this week.

The crane will be up in January after the Christmas break. The ground slab will be poured in three stages and finally, this building is now 12 levels, not 11.

the southern part of the ground floor slab was poured and they are now erecting columns on this part of the slab. The western part of the slab at the rear will be the next section to be poured followed by the eastern part at the rear. Note the house next door is getting a new roof.

A large mobile crane lifted some precast wall sections and lift panels into place on the southern section of the site today; 10 Dec 2015. This project is going ahead even without the tower crane being installed yet. Only the north eastern slab is yet to be poured (facing Owen St).

Crane base being installed today. By the appearance of the base i'd suggest a Liebherr electric crane here, and by the size of the site and the fact it will constructed in prefab panels, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a luffing crane. Similar to Surflen.

Installation of the crane is starting today. Had a chat to the foreman and it'll be another Hammerhead crane, similar to what is being used on Grote Street.

Crane was in full use at 7.00am today. This one is really moving at present.

The crane in Owen St was not erecting the tower crane but actually installing precast wall segments on the northern and western side.
