Should be 11 levels in the thread title right ?

Not that tall but it looks pretty slick and will help to clean up hindley street.

Not too far from Holiday Inn's old Hindley St location (which is now a Grand Chancellor)

I *really* love Art Deco but it's a fairly average example - plus I'm not sure those parapet embellishments would fit under that facade so presumably they were removed long ago.

Given the overall benefit of the proposed development I'd say it's a worthwhile sacrifice...

I think the first 2 levels are 2 levels high, so may have a mezzanine inside.

Blyth Street is interesting, but not pedestrian-friendly - the renders appear to change that for the better.

I'm an art deco fan also, but as you say, that doesn't appear to be something that needs saving.

Hmmm... Losing LC House, while being able to see another 10+ level building go up in its place?

It's got my vote. :P

It's a budget short stay hotel! No gold plated tap fittings here!

I get that, but the new Ibis isn't a five star luxury hotel either..and it looks pretty good.

Sometimes renders are not always a good indication of the final product. Let's hope this is the case here.

Looks like 11 levels to me. The retail outlets on the ground and first floors look impressive.
Will be a big improvement on what's already there.
