This one has turned out to be nice, but as others have said it's a shame the top half doesn't look as good as the bottom half.

It's also been around a 2 and a half year build so far, but I guess it did take a long time to finish the below ground part of this one.

I quite like it but agree with Jaymz about the top half not looking as good as the bottom half.

Hopefully they at some stage soonish go forward with stage 2 behind this.

I don't know if im missing something, but wasn't the underside of the exposed levels supposed to be some kind of wood or brown colour? Can anyone point me to whats happening with that?

I think the colour contrast between the podium levels and rest of the building stops the whole building dominating the street level. Nice building.

From memory, it does look brown/timber when you're at street level and looking at it. Just looks dark in the photo.
cheers,

Article in todays online 'Tiser that Luigi Delicatessen (rated Adelaide's number 1 eatery on Tripadvisor), will be moving from Flinders Street to the ground level of this building in late July.

Nearly ready to open. Today Sunday 12/5/2019 the footpath and roadway in Franklin St and Pitt St are being steam cleared and all the hoardings have been removed.

Finishing touches. With today's gloomy skies, this looked spectacular. There's purple hues I hadn't seen before.

Great photos and this is definitely one of Adelaide's most attractive taller buildings. Would have been perfect if there was another 5-6 storey section like the top 2 added on top with the same kind of offset look as the other top two sections. If they do get around to the 'phase 2' next door I'll be so interested in seeing what they propose given how nicely this one turned out.
