Thread cleaned up.

And no, there isn't any conspiracy theories around users I don't like having their posts deleted, so no PMs please. People acting like dicks to each other and filling threads with mindless drivel is what is pissing everyone off.

Keep it on topic, act civil, and everything should be dandy.
Thanks Pikey,
I think its important for me to explain the situation of what just happened.

Some people liked the message on the beer. Others didn't. Things got a little heated and then they cooled down. It was maturely handled and discussed by me, SRW, Mpol, citywatcher and everybody else.

If the parklands are so important why dont they put it to a vote state wide? Or are they afraid the majority will back this hotel..

Did we really need to lose our posts that were opposing the Whitmore place? Just because a few people had an issue with it, doesnt mean they had to be deleted too.

So I say again - I will be avoiding this place in the Whitmore Hotel. Politics in a pub? No thanks.

Agree, why was my post deleted? It wasn't abusive or against the rules, it was an opinion of a place I did not wish to attend. Are all negative views about developments now going to be deleted?

Please be consistent in your moderation.
*Looks at Dyson Airblade Factory* "I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure"

Rev has been right all along! whenever the slightest hint of disagreement comes up, Pikey seems to censor the people he doesn't like!!

We need consistency!! It's all so unfair.

I would have thought pubs and politics have a mutual history in this country
If you own a pub you can run it anyway You like I'd say

You're missing the point
You only want to criticise the politics you don't agree with
The point is pubs can align themselves with any politics they like and what you're free to do is choose to go or not go there
As I said pubs and politics have a mutual history so what exactly are you criticising
You're just making a general reactionary opinion

I think this discussion should really be in the Beer Garden thread.

Cheers to the separation of beer and politics.

Unfortunately we live in a world of Snowflakes so any hint of sarcasm or negative views get taken off line. Unless they agree with their own views that they have in their head they don’t want anyone to see.

Here is a new place on North Terrace opening at the end of the month (opposite the museum):
