I disagree. I think it looks horrendous there and really highlights the different colour tones of the contexts used which I don’t think is intentional.

I feel like this building can only work in the right context. With modern development around it, the contrast could be cute. But as it stands... :toilet:

During the last couple of weeks a large mobile cane installed the window panels in the fold (of the l shape ), where the tower of the crane had been. These panels could not be installed until the tower crane was removed. picture from Franklin St.

How did people get away with designing this? Surely it will be painted. Hopefully with invisibility paint.

I don't mind the design, something you would see in Tokyo, but agreed perhaps a little out of place in our Skyline.

It's not only the tone of the different sections but the actual surface finish is highly inconsistent - some smooth, some speckled. I keep thinking of pieces of toast with alternating smooth and crunchy peanut butter...
