Yep thats the one although that was just a concept render so will need to wait and see the final design.

Is the site for this building just 20 Toms Court, or is there more to it? If it's only 20 Toms Court, judging by Google Maps that's a very thin, rectangular site, while the building in that render looks pretty square.
Perhaps that bodes well for a slightly different design, but perhaps not if Dvious is indeed correct. Is the idea that this development is a more affordable alternative to Echelon, what with the cheaper design and not quite as good views?

I was thinking the same thing, quite a thin site.slenderman wrote:Is the site for this building just 20 Toms Court, or is there more to it? If it's only 20 Toms Court, judging by Google Maps that's a very thin, rectangular site, while the building in that render looks pretty square.

Expected to be approved at Thursdays meeting. Odd location for a hotel.

May as well give the land to the ACC and get them to build another car park. Couldn't look any worse than this.

Is the tall building in the background of the first picture and foreground of the second one Echelon?
It's called "motel", but no parking is provided on the site except for 11 bicycles.
I agree it appears to be a strangely out-of-the-way place for a hotel. I wonder what the developers know that we don't about any of the nearby sites. A paved laneway with a cafe and 7-11/IGA/OTR (without fuel) shop leading to the tram stop on KWS would make it much more attractive to tourists.

Yes.

Well as it’s a karidis proposal it’s highly unlikely to eventuate anyway. Probably just a ploy to try and increase land value of a small plot of land in between two warehouses.

They know land with a permit is worth more.
Bin this thread. Not worth a second thought.
