I am guessing this is going to be a Quest Hotel after the one proposed at 100 North Tce didn't proceed. The site also at 201 North Tce [The former Gallerie] is under contract and was going to be apartments. Anyone know what is happening?

There's something, almost NY Flatiron building about this.... I don't hate it, that's for sure.

Reminds me a bit of the Student tower proposed for Twin Street. Looks good I think. I was confident they’d come up with something at least somewhat interesting due to the small size of the space.

The site next door is already earmarked for development, any treatment on the Eastern side will be covered soon enough anyhow (there's already a building scope for the site mentioned on this tower's DA paperwork.

The treatment on the blank wall is a hell of a lot better than other much higher profile sites in this city (Kodo for example)

The red brick on the ground level might turn out ok. But otherwise a complete lack of imagination.

You have to wonder at the stupidity of the neighbouring owner. For the expense of a 7m wide 460 sqm block they could have turned their own huge parcel into a corner block worth a goldmine. Now they're hemmed in by the same sort of concrete wall that Ivan Milat was staring at for 20 years.
