Grant Thornton to move into new state HQ building on Frome St

A BRAND new office complex in Adelaide’s CBD is to be home to an international professional services firm for at least the next 10 years.
The decade long deal will see Grant Thornton move from its outer metropolitan base along Greenhill Rd into Emmett Group’s landmark 170 Frome Street development.
Grant Thornton will has struck a lease agreement to occupy more than a third of the office space within the near 3,900 sqm East End building following a deal negotiated by commercial sales agents CBRE director Andrew Bahr.

The building is at the intersection of Frome Street and Flinders due for completion by December 2016.
The building is being developed by privately owned property development and construction company Emmett Property which has an extensive portfolio of commercial developments throughout the Adelaide CBD and beyond.
“We set out to attract fringe CBD occupiers and it is satisfying when your vision becomes reality. The convenient location and quality of the offering helped secure such a strong tenant,” said Emmett Group director Nick Emmett.
The four-storey Frome Street building has a total let-able area of circa 3,900sqm and comprises two floors of office space, ground floor retail and first floor parking for 44 cars.
It will include the latest in design and environmental features in addition to large open floors, excellent natural light and on-site parking.
CBRE’s Mr Bahr said there was strong interest in the remaining space with tenancies from 460sqm to 1,473sqm still available.
Its location on Frome Street — a key north-south pathway, providing fantastic staff amenity and access to public transport — was a huge selling point he said.
