Surely such a prominent corner site in that happening part of the CBD would be on the radar of a developer someone? Wouldn't think it would stay as a one-storey building for too long?

250 East Tce. This project is still making very slow progress with only 2 or 3 workers on site. It has taken most of this year to get this far. Picture 7/11/17.

And 60 South Terrace has been painfully slow, I know this because up until March this year I lived not even 30 metres from this construction site. I noticed the other day the billboard out the front that still says "Opening early 2017", and looks like a few months left to go yet. Most annoyingly of all, the one way access from Winifred Street to South Terrace has been blocked off this entire time while construction has been happening, must be getting close to 2 years now since demolition started.wilkiebarkid wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2017 6:13 pm65 South Terrace next to the one currently under construction '60 South Terrace'.

This is one of those rare occasions where the render has done the final product a massive disservice. For a carpark, this has turned out very nicely... Unless of course that is just tarp covering the red lift core?

Does any one have any information about this site? (Past ART Apartment site almost to Hutt St northern side).

Not too sure.. 282 was a nice example of a late 19th century dwelling from what I recall, hopefully replaced by something of a high quality. Cant find anything on the web referring to it.

Nothing of excitement they are re purposing the building next door and building a 1 level extension...
Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development
How did that old building get demolished? Must have been in terrible condition.
