This project is costing us a fortune. Jack Snelling showed a few executives around nRAH a couple of weeks ago and he
said afterwards that he felt like a proud father.

Is he proud of the fact that it's going to be at least 12 months late ?

Is he proud of the fact that two workers have died on site ?

Is he proud that the project is going to cost at least $1 billon dollars more than what was budgeted.

What's disgraceful, among other things you do, is you trying to tie the death of two workers in work place accidents, to the minister.
Stop and consider for a moment, if you're pea sized brain can comprehend this, and think what if a family member or friend of one of those two workers is reading the utter crap you post?

Ghs..Just to confirm the delays are not costing us the taxpayers one cent. The payment to the consortium (builders ect) doesn't start until practical completion.
Further how you can blame delays ect on either the minister or the govt. is just stupid. They aren't the ones on the job/ tools building it. Further it's actually the 2nd biggest project/building (based on $ value) ever in Australia (behind only Parliament House in Canberra). It's probably going to be around for the next 100+ years, so a one year delay is not really a big deal.

New Royal Adelaide Hospital to open in September

Australia's most expensive hospital, the long-delayed new Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) will open its emergency department on September 5.

Patients will be moved from the old hospital on Adelaide's North Terrace during a planned three-day operation from September 4–6.

The emergency department (ED) will take its first patients on Tuesday, September 5 at 7:00am when the old hospital's ED officially closes.

From mid-August, patient services and some day surgery, oncology and radiology treatments will begin at the site.

The opening date is not set in concrete with Health Minister Jack Snelling saying it could be reviewed over the next 12 weeks due to patient demands, which would stop the old hospital from ramping down.

Isn't that earmarked for the new Womans and Childrens Hospital?, which I'm sure we will hear more about once the NRAH is fully operational.

Yep, everything that's west of the NRAH and east of the Thebarton Police Barracks, is where the new W&CH will be built, if they decided to build it.
There's no plans or anything yet for it so lets not get excited and ahead of our selves.
It's at least two state election cycles away imho.

I disagree, I think next year's state election will see the matter come forward. The Libs support the notion of building a new W&CH and because the land has been allocated their plan don't vary much from what Labor have planned. IMO their goal should be to have that and SAHMRI 2 under construction before the end of the decade.
