It is sad how far this centre has fallen. Once a beautiful landscape beauty now the main entrance is almost undrivable with nothing but patches to fill the reoccurring major pot holes every 12 months.

The First Choice building location is a sign to me how much this place is desperate for money or how little they now care for what it has become.

Target has now closed and is likely to become Best & Less.

Surprised it lasted this long after it stopped being a Baby Target. Even for the smaller Target outlet's they're focusing on these days the Golden Grove store seemed to be far too small for a target.

I wonder if the Fresh Food Market area will retain some original fixtures? (i.e. the four overhead pictures and the main signage that used to be animated back in the day) :?

UPDATE: All overhead pictures in the former Fresh Food Market have been removed after many years.
Main signage will be stripped after being idle for a long time.

Ornate fixtures on the air vent rows in the original section (east) have been stripped too.
That's bastardizing to me.

I found out a few weeks ago that Zambrero will be opening at the Village.

Have no idea at this point whether it's only going to be open when the store is open or whether it's going to be external and opened in the evenings.

I guess it depends where they're located. If they have any external access then they'd probably keep their own hours (like their Brickworks store).

I have word that one of the new stores opening up after at the Village will be a Hennes & Mauritz store (H&M). It will be the first one for our state and will fit demographic quite well. Also Cotton On Group are looking to expand to this centre.

Watch this space folks.

Yeah right.

Rundle Plaza will be their first store. Then either of the big 3 Westfield complexes, my wild guess is West Lakes.

Rundle may be the flagship, but this will be the first. Watch this space

Fresh Food Market signage is now being stripped.
As of 26/10/2017, one half of it (the 'market' word) has been taken down.

My childhood is sacrificed!
