:applause: Great news for Port Adelaide which is slowly turning into a "eating and drinking destination".

Whilst the population is set to increase in Port Adelaide it will be nice to see a movie theatre in the town centre either on St Vincent Street or Commercial Road.

The Odeon Star cinema is just up the road in Semaphore, and Arndale and West Lakes are an easy drive......

Unfortunately I don't see a great chance of new cinemas in the Port unless there is a huge increase in population and that's a pity because movie
theatres would improve the Port as a "destination".

Unfortunately, Odeon is closing soon. :(

Is it definitely closing? Last I heard (November) was that the building’s up for sale but the business was continuing. Will be sad if it goes.

Port Adelaide needs a play theatre or cinema and Commercial Road needs improvements in lighting and restore the buildings or replace some of them

Maybe the business will be sold as well?

Yes the building is currently for sale. Any further enquiries can be made through LJ Hooker West Lakes who is handling the sale. Thanks

I am sure if it does sell it would continue as a cinema anyway. I doubt it could cater to much else. I am pretty sure its heritage listed so couldn't be re-developed.
