Pics from last week, carpark entirely dug up and already preparing for the foundations. Seems like they're demolishing those fire escape stairs Image

Title should be changed to either SWP or UC.

Maybe... but is this the same upgrade that this thread was started with in 2006? This seems to be a completely different plan to then.

No change should be made... There wasn't a change of title for the Marion extension and the same should apply here.

I’m a relative newbie too I always thought it was “on hold.” Not sure what SWP stands for.

The thing about announcements is that many users will never see them.ImageImage

Cheers guys. Given the progress of this one shouldn't be too long hopefully until we see this U/C with the bigger Plaza/Plus connection project.

I'm following the Scentre Group projects, they're investing $1 billion in their 3 WA centres so seems like they're spending on as many assets as they can to bring them up to scratch to hold their relevance in the market - so hopefully this continues into SA with TTP, Marion and West Lakes in the next few years after nearly 2 decades of delays.

I love the number of times I have heard people say "Oh I don't know why they would be doing this work over Christmas." when it's a longer than 12-month project, so regardless of when they start, it would always impact on a Christmas period. Also, they are not adding parking. There may be a few around the new building that come back, but overall they are gone.

In fact a whole pile of parking is now gone at TTP. In addition to the spots lost for the redevelopment, pretty much the entire O-Bahn side of the car park (beyond the undercover/upper deck parking) is now staff parking.

I assume Rebel Sport at Tea Tree Plus might be relocating in a few months, hence the older signage.
So with Caffe Bongiorno gone, this could just mean the beginning of the much-anticipated joining of the two big buildings!

Noticed them earlier too, assuming they are part of the new cinema expansion.
