Large parcel of land has been released on the corner of Regency and Churchill Road.
Dubbed Prospect 1838, it is A mixture of townhouses, apartments, retail and commercial(?) is planned.
Not many plans as yet but there is a timeframe of mid 17 for sod turning.
Looks like stage 1 has 60 townhouses at the southern most end.

Fingers crossed they integrate an upgraded Islington train station into the development.

The old Kilburn Primary School on Churchill Rd is being redeveloped in to a 5k capacity soccer complex by the West Adelaide SC. The main field has a 1,000 seat grandstand, corporate and media facilities, club administration and social club and flood lights to host FFA cup matches. Also has a secondary pitch for other grades.

Site works are underway now.

Prospect council just approved stage 1 which includes 60 tri-level townhouses and provision for two apartment buildings.
To put it in perspective, this first stage is about 20 per cent of the overall parcel of land.

I assume this is a TOD with Islington Station in the main commercial precinct? I am aware that the station is on the edge of the development, but this shouldn't be an issue.

New apartment building for 142-146 Churchill Road.
Has approx. 60 apartments with gym, two retail outlets and a café.

Biggest one so far to be proposed for this district

The work that's underway at the moment isn't near the Islington station, it's on the southern end of the site.
