The basement excavation is complete and the crane base has been concreted in, so crane should go up in next week (or 2). Picture 15/9/2018. The bent rods sticking up out of the ground are the tops of the piles and these get incorporated into the basement footing reinforcement .

Crane is fully up now - it's big, the boom goes over the powerlines a little bit above the houses across the road. It looks it's about half the height the building will be, this building will be the same(ish) height as the Stamford a few doors down.

Glenelg crane has increased height by 2 tower sections recently.

Update 26/3/2019 Work has started on the ground floor and the crane has risen compared to Torrens SA 's picture above.

Been awhile since this site was visited. Now up to level 6 as at 27 July. The crane while rise soon with 3 tower sections sacked up in street. Pictures from East (non beach side). Click on pictures for bigger.

Workers on site from the riggers/scaffolders to even the crane operator are more interested in playing on snapchat and other social media during the work day.
Quite often on the snapchat map you'll see them messing around, yes, even the crane operator.
