Surely the next traffic switch to a new bridge will be the new port Wakefield northbound at the northern interchange?

As I recall, there are four distinct second-tier contracts each for a section of the project (roughly centred on each interchange). Therefore which switch is "next" depends on the relationship of each section of contract to the others as each interchange is being developed somewhat independently.

Southern Interchange needs to switch eastbound onto a new carriageway; Bolivar interchange needs to provide new access to the wastewater treatment works; Bolivar Road an PWR intersection has to be moved south; northern interchange needs to open the new northbound PWR, and at some stage close the temporary onramp to the Northern Expressway so that the southbound carriageway can be finished. Only Waterloo Corner interchange appears to have completed temporary switches and be waiting to open.

I wonder how close they are to opening the northbound carriageway from Waterloo Corner Road onto its final alignment, with exit to PWR and under the bridge to Northern Expressway. Everything says they are still on track to effectively finish within about 3 months.

So what i read is there will be a signalised intersection at Kings Road and at Hodgson Road, that'll be close to one another

It looks like it will be about 350 metres.

Are they eliminating the right turn from Kings road onto PWR?

Maybe Bolivar which now very much looks like kings road on a map after the semi recent realignment.

Doesn't Bolivar road end at the roundabout with kings road the new intersecting road?

That's how I understood the plans to do that roundabout too. However the road signs say that it is Kings Road that ends at the roundabout, and Bolivar Road still continues to Port Wakefield Road.
https://www.dpti.sa.gov.au/infrastructu ... s?a=272593 has a picture that confirms how they have done it.

Hey all, I have got myself some new hardware and software for the drive-through videos and went out on the weekend to check out the works on the southern interchange.

Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X6aCyOayVY

Feedback would be much appreciated!

Great vid, I was waiting for you to do this one because with your setup it's possible to see beyond the barriers (which you can't really appreciate when in a standard car).

Although, unless I've been oblivious in my thinking this whole time, isn't the new bridge parallel to PRExy east-bound and not west-bound?
