I just happened to pass though the Barossa Valley this week and noticed there are baby pine trees sprouting up between the sleepers. This is a national disgrace!!!
What a waste of infrastructure.

Is GWA still required to provide access for a train on 24 hours notice?

Train, car collide at intersection of South and Cross roads at Black Forest

A LUXURY car has collided with a train at Black Forest, with emergency services warning of traffic delays.



Emergency services including ambulance, MFS and police attended the crash near the intersection of South Rd and Cross Rd, just after 3.30pm on Wednesday.

A female motorist has been taken to Flinders Medical Centre with serious abdominal injuries. No one else was in the car.

No train passengers needed treatment.

The Seaford train services has been suspended until further notice.

Police have advised motorists to avoid the area.

Cant grade sep every crossing, and even in places with hardly any level crossings, some elderly Camry driver will still manage to find a way to crash through the fencing and onto the tracks.

And Emerson is already somewhat grade separated.

It's like when the pedestrian gates at Salisbury went in and people would still jump the fence and play chicken along the crossing.

A WOMAN’S luxury car (A Mercedes) was tossed at least 25m when hit by a train at Black Forest on Wednesday after it became stuck under boom gates and she then tried to beat the oncoming train across the level crossing.

The 1km spur line has been designed to allow the hundreds of people who will soon be living at Dock One to commute to and from work.

I wonder if anyone has thought that these people might work shifts at Osborne building offshore patrol vessels, frigates and submarines, not nine-five in Adelaide City. Which way will the spur be connected to the main line? Very few of the "jobs created" by the government are in the city square mile.

How many hundreds of jobs are there in Osborne vs how many thousands in the city? Should all bus, tram and train lines end at Osborne?
I get where you're going, it would be ideal if the line was redirected through the Port instead of the addition of a spur. But the money involved would likely be unrealistic at this point in time.

geez, I'd just like them to finish the loo-oong delayed electrification of the Gawler line first.
