I can see indented lines in the paved surface.
So it could have metal guide rails.

Latest progress video, it includes the new railings on the bridge across the Torrens.

I really hate that they've put in a slip lane on the corner of North Tce/Dequetteville. I walk this route often and the slip lane further up at the corner of East Terrace is dangerous enough.

Is it First Creek which is being referred to? This must be in culvert under Hackney Rd before flowing in open channel through the Botanics.

In the original plans, both creeks that the tunnel crosses were going to be diverted under the cut and cover through siphons.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

I am not sure exactly what is happening at the Torrens bridge. Most of the work seems to be taking pace under the western side bridge. Picture taken from the new bike track bridge Sunday 22 Jam 2017.

The bridge is being widened from two to three lanes to support the bus lane.

The November newsletter says that they will be completing the culvert above the tunnel in the next few months.

Above the tunnel!?

So, should First Creek experience a significant stormwater event... won't that flood the tunnel?

A sealed pipe/chamber has a defined flow rate regardless of it it goes under or over. What would be different if it overflows? The exact same outcome would occur.
Plus I am sure the tunnel has drains/pumps.
