I think the innermost lanes will eventually be replaced with the tram lanes towards The Parade (EastLink)

June 2015 had Rundle Road remaining as 2 lanes each way.

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/sout ... 0aa8f8cc05

Feb 2015 had Rundle Road removed/relocated to new tunnel alignment.

http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/sout ... 21b8c38ac9

Feb 2014 had tunnel coming up on current Rundle Road, which was still 2 lanes each way.

Was the plan that the new Rundle Road alignment would be narrower than the current Rundle Road, but it had reduced carparks?

The East Tce end is starting to look like an entrance. The road leading down to the tunnel is now sealed. Sorry no photo as it was raining and I was getting wet as I ran past. Well... walked quickly.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

I didn't see your post until now, however by coincidence I got one on Wednesday.

Judging by the width is it going to be guided or low speed limit , looks tight

I thought it is supposed to be guided busway, the same as the main O-bahn track.

Guided by the looks of it. There will be metal side approach rails at both ends.

In the tight confines of a tunnel guided would make sense from a risk mitigation POV.
Big infrastructure investments are usually under-valued and & over-criticized while in the planning stage. It's much easier to envision the here and now costs and inconveniences, and far more difficult to imagine fully the eventual benefits.

O-Bahn has been used to describe the guided busway in Adelaide. It has always been referred to as a O-Bahn tunnel, eg a guided busway tunnel.

It never crossed my mind it would be anything but a guided tunnel.

O-bahn closed for night works, does anybody have more details about this and what it means for the tunnel?
the O-bahn track will be closed between Klemzig Station and Park Terrace between:
7am and 3pm Saturday 26 August (to the city)
7pm to 6am each night Monday 28 August to Thursday 31 August (from the city)
Buses will detour as follows:
O-Bahn buses to the city (weekday only) - normal route to Klemzig Station, then via O G Road, Payneham Road, North Terrace, Botanic Road and then via normal route.
O-Bahn buses from the city (Saturday only) - from stop 1 Botanic Road via North Terrace, Payneham Road, OG Road, First Avenue to Klemzig Station.
A temporary bus stop will be located at Klemzig Station just east of the roadway.

This work is likely related to the kerb and guttering and center median work between the intersection of Hackney Rd/Bundeys Rd and the entrance to the O-bahn tunnel running under Park Tce. The road median there is being removed so the bus lane running along Hackney Rd TTP bound can continue straight into the tunnel under Park Tce. The bridge deck over the Torrens has been widened to accommodate a bus lane + 2 lanes of traffic

Correct, you can see some of that early work in my progress video.

Spot on. Drove south along Hackney Road tonight (Tuesday, 29/8), then two hours later making the return trip, work was in full swing. Surface had been largely ripped up with significant work having occurred in just those two hours. Impressive.
